As July begins, the Battlefield America Competition Battalion (BF 7) is entering into a new CEVO season. The season consists of two preseason matches, eight regular matches, and a playoff bracket for qualifying teams.

Unlike with the TeamWarfare League (TWL), CEVO is comprised of many more active teams with higher skill level, and the event itself isn't lifeless like TWL is becoming. The competition will be fierce, but the NA Comp Battalion is up for the challenge.

This season in CEVO will also mark a new milestone for the NA Comp Battalion as they will be fielding two teams this time. The Battalion has split its members into two highly skilled and motivated teams. Over the last few months, the two teams have been practicing in their respective groups to hone their teamwork and leverage the combined skills of the individual members.

It was decided to name the teams TAW Armageddon and TAW Apocalypse. These names came courtesy of Icarus. When asked why these names, Icarus responded that they are in honor of the old TAW Far Cry competitive team that he and Mercenary were a part of. He said that Far Cry was one of the first successful competitive teams in TAW, and now that we have the first successful competitive battalion in TAW, the names can be held as mark of distinction of the battalion's achievements.

TAW Armageddon consists of:

Alas

Bravehardt

DimonCreep

JickyJr

Mercenary

Slamscape

Vaikyuko

TAW Apocalyse consists of:

BOOMski

Geegun

Icarus

Jayy

Qtip

RazorEdge

TexasHillbilly

The two teams are very pumped to begin the new season, and with just cause. Not only are the teams going to experience a higher level of play, but Armageddon and Apocalyse are set to face off against each other first! They will be playing the first preseason matchup on Operation Lockers, a map both teams are very fond of.

Who will win this first head-to-head clash? No one can say at this point. They are two very evenly matched teams. However, this will be a great way to set the tone for the rest of the season.

Awesome, I love the homage to the Far Cry comp team! Good luck, guys! Kill 'em in Cevo.

For those interested, Armageddon beat Apocalypse 2 rounds to 0 despite major delays due to technical problems with CEVO's Paladin anti-cheat program that a majority of teams were having. It was a hard fought match, with low ending ticket counts.

Next week, Arma goes on to play et Cetera and Apoc play Lights Out.

et Cetera is an unknown to us, but Lights Out is one of the best teams in the nation, so Apoc will have their work cut out for them.

Last night, both Arma and Apoc lost their second preseason match.

Apoc went heads up with Lights Out, a team anticipated to win the CEVO season. It was a tough match, but it was proof that Apoc is coming together as a team as they had each other's back for the matches.

Amra went into their match expecting et Cetera to be good as the scouting report showed on paper. Arma did their best, and showed that they are going to be a team to be reckoned with as they had some close matches.

The regular season starts next week, once CEVO posts the schedule.
