Division Changes
Starting with our Division, the Battlefield Division is starting its third season of Frontlines, which serves as the main campaign for the division members to take part of and engage in team battles for control of territories. The seasons will run from July 13th, till September 9th, and will feature maps from the base game, They Shall Not Pass DLC and more. If you wish to join us, simply hop on in our HQ channel, we will be sure to put you on a team and get you started. Our NA battalion conducts practices every Sunday and Thursday, at 9:00 PM ET.
We also underwent a few staff changes. Witness, our beloved CO, asked to step down in order to get a little pit stop, and recharge, while also focusing on some real life matters. To that end, our NA battalion underwent a few promotions:
- Slamscape has stepped up from SO to CO of the NA Battalion. Slamscape has been a member of TAW for almost 8 years now, and has filled in many positions throughout the many years. We wish him the best of luck, and will fully support him in his journey
- FlaminArrowz has stepped up from SA to XO of the NA Battalion. FlaminArrowz has been the server administrator for the Battlefield division for quite a while now, and he is ready to move up and take the challenges his new position will bring. We wish him the best of luck, and will fully support him in his journey
- Tavisblishen has stepped to take the position of SO of the NA battalion. Tavisblishen has been a part of the Battlefield Division for quite some time now, and graciously accepted the position and challenges of the SO position. We wish him the best of luck, and will fully support him in his journey.
- NavyChief stepped up to take the position of HDI of the NA battalion. NavyChief has been a member of TAW for many years now, and held many positions. If anyone is the right man, it is Navy. We wish him the best of luck, and will fully support him in his journey
New Maps Incoming!

With the release of Nivelle Nights in June, the battlefield community is eagerly expecting the next map featured in the Nivelle Offensive: Prise De Tuhure. Set in the Ardennes region of 1917, this urban and trench based map will feature several villages cutting the trench networks, as the French and German troops constantly skirmish to wear each other out. It will be set in night time. The official EA Twitch will be doing a livestream of the map Monday, July 17th. We expect the release to be Tuesday, July 18th. We will update you if need to.
Furthermore, upon the release of the new map, we will be setting our Battlefield servers to host them. We will have several members playing, so feel free to hop on TeamSpeak and join them in playing these maps out.
Premium Friends and Premium Trials
With all these maps being released, EA and DICE want everyone to experience them with their friends. To that end, with the release of Prise De Tuhure, the first run of Premium Trials will start. Anyone will be able to play the map, along with Nivelle Nights, and the 4 other maps from They shall not Pass DLC. They will be another Premium Trials before Gamescom, and another in September. This means all players will be able to experience previously released maps, along with the upcoming ones.
Also, Premium Friends is still active until Gamescom, which is August 22. This allows players to play with their friends who own premium, giving them access to the maps.
In the Name of the Tsar
With the release of TSNP in March, we are coming close to the next DLC release: In the Name of the Tsar. This will let players enter the Great War biggest front in the boots of the Russian army, in what is perhaps the most extensive expansion in battlefield so far.
The DLC will feature 6 maps, 4 of which has already been revealed:
- Lupkow Pass: Fight in snow covered ravines of the Lupkow Pass. This map will drop in August, with the rest following in September

- Albion: Take part in the skirmishes of the Albion assault. In the massive invasion of the Baltic peninsula, the German army attacks with infantry, dreadnoughts and aircraft against the heavy coastal guns of the Russian forces

- Galicia: In midst of the epic Brusilov Offensive, the Russian empire is fighting to push the Austro-Hungarian forces in the Russian countryside. This will be an open map, focused on infantry, cavalry and light vehicles

- Brusilov Keep: The Russian army pushed their enemy into a small mountain town, but the Austro-Hungarians are making a strong stand. Experience close quarter fights on this infantry focused map

The DLC will also feature 11 new weapons, such as the Mosin Nagant M91, and new vehicles, such as the massive llya-Muroments Bomber and the Putilov-Garford heavy armored car. There will also be a new gamemode, Supply Drop, which will allow players to join fast paced fighting on supplies needed to outgun and outscore their opponents.
Currently, Lupkow pass is undergoing testing in the Community Test Environment (CTE). Battlefield 1 players with premium can access the CTE and give their feedback on the maps. There will also be more maps from the Tsar DLC in the upcoming weeks.
Gamescom Update
With Gamescom nearing every day, many players are looking for what DICE is looking to unveil during the even regarding Competitive play. Ever since they teased about it at EA Play in June, players have been anxiously waiting for more information regarding this aspect of the Battlefield franchise. The developers have been tight lipped about it, but promised it will be worth the wait. It is worth to note, that ever since BF4, DICE has been adding more and more ex and current competitive players to their offices, working with them on improving the game. We can only predict that they were working on more than just that. We will be sure to update you on more as information becomes available.
In addition to those announcements, we expect to see more of the Tsar DLC, along with the next DLC, Turning Tides, which will feature naval battles and much more, as seen in the concept art released recently.
Gamescom will start on August 22nd, and can be viewed online.
Battlefield 1 TAW Platoon
If you wish to join the Battlefield 1 TAW platoon, simply head in game and search for The Art of Warfare in the platoon tab. Please note, that in case of new members joining in the future, you might be kicked in order to make space.
Thats all folks!
That is all for now. With all this new content releasing soon for Battlefield, it sure is exciting times for everyone involved. We will be sure to update everyone as more news comes in.
Thank you and regards from the Battlefield Division!
