TAW DCS Division is looking for ATC, GCI, AWACS and JTAC members

Our Division have grown much the last year and is getting more and more professional as we continue to develop our documentation and procedures as well as starting to use new tools. To be even more professional we are looking for new members that is interested in the area of ATC, GCI, AWACS and JTAC functions. If you for instance is interested in playing as a Battle Commander and control the movement tanks and other vehicles on the battlefield this position may be well suited for you. We have no prerequisite requirements and DCS is free to use so even if you don’t play DCS today this positions may be for you anyway if you are interested in battlefield tactics. The only thing we are requiring from you is that you can make yourself understandable in English and that you have a “clear” voice.

After the first interviews we will try to make your transition into this positions more easy. We will supply five of the applicants we believe have the best skills with licenses for LotATC (radar operator) and DCS Combined Arms (Battle Commander). You will receive a comprehensive training package for the positions and we will expect of you to study hard for the first two months. These positions is not easy but very rewarding when you get the feel of having control over everything in the mission! The first section of the training will continue for 4 weeks and at the end we will be holding an examination of all candidates for the positions.

The training package will include things like:

• Air traffic control management and operational procedures
• Communications and radar procedures
• Aircraft recognition
• Takeoff, landing and ground control procedures
• Airborne Warning And Control System - AWACS
• Ground Control Intercept - GCI
• Creating 9-LINE CAS briefing format
• Using DCS CA Tactical Commander and JTAC

All these functions is to be formed in a new Fire Team that will support the rest of the DCS Division with these services in our Mandatory events and also on our public server for special arranged open events. We also have a good relationship with other Virtual Squadrons and will invite some of these to events that will cover all these functions.
