AO is the oldest active MMO division in TAW. At its helm is Lt. Col. Booklet, an officer who has watched over AO as it grew out of one of it's lowest points back into one of the absolute best guilds to raid with on all the North American servers. The crew in media caught up to Booklet to discuss AO and his tenure as DC.

What is something your fellow members might be surprised to learn about you?

 

I belive to not be anything, im pretty open about anything and everything, we're a family in TAW there to support one another in all ways possible.

 

What hobbies do you keep outside of TAW and gaming?

 

Do i have life? That's the question lol. I coach junior soccer A grade team. good team finished 2nd over all this season then do puzzles with the lady sounds fun aye 

 

You have a fairly unique tattoo, TAW on your forearm, what led to you inking the clan on yourself permanently?

 

 As I said before, we're a family in TAW. It represents the friendships I have made over the years that will be life long botherhoods/sisterhoods in my book. We're there for each other in game and RL, visit each other no matter where we are to go to a baseball game/fozzeball, when I see that tatoo it reminds of those I have met the marks we have made. In MMO land we play for 6-8 hours a day together. It's a family, The ink it's for them. 

 

It's been just over a year since you were placed in charge of AO, what changes have you made to the division to keep the historically volatile Age of Conan crowd stable?

 

Hard question. We focused more on what brings people in. Gear, raid gear that is, T1-T2 is now pointless. All players want T3 gear so we push for it. Now we're completing T3 reasonably easily hope to be in T4 within a few months, we also no longer hold people hands. If some one is making a mistake they are informed how to correct it. It's up to them otherwise they do not raid as 1 person can make 23 people wipe, we push for all 24 to be on a positive mind set to succeed in game. 

 

Outside of yearly awards, four medals, only one of which is a Gump, have been attached to your file since joining TAW. Which one of these are you most proud of and why?

 

 I belive that would be the Commanders Award. Pushed hard for it. To make TAW a top raid guild and the top guild on the server...couldn't be prouder of all involved.

 

Now fill us in on the Gump medal...how did you ban your CO from TS?

Well he got ghosted in TS. I went to kick his ghosted account and happened to click ban luckly enough 

 

MMORPGs have a history of falling apart when things get rough, however, Age of Conan has been a low population game with a bad reputation almost since yet launch. How has AO managed to survive so long despite all the drama that plagues and typically kills MMORPGs?

 

We're the longest and oldest guild in the game, that we accomplished by pushing the family enviorment being there for one another. That's kept us were we are.

 

What plans do you have for the AO division in the future?

 

Tier 4 raiding. We have the strats, just need few more geared for it
