In-The-Scope: Dimchik
One of the top leaders in AO is also one of the newest. 2Lt. Dimchik has held his position as a Staff Officer for just a handful of weeks but he is already making his mark as a key member of the AO leadership team. From The Battlefield got a few questions in with AO's resident ambassador and here's what he had to say.

A Russian IT director, living in Canada, fluent in three languages...quite impressive. What else is there to know about the man behind the callsign?
I have a charming accent, love to drink tea and cook russian food.
What hobbies, other than gaming, do you dedicate your time to?
I also like fishing, martial arts, sci-fi movies and books.I really dedicate myself to my work, same deal with hobbies. I have an extensive library of books and DVDs. Unfortunately this summer I didn't get to go out for fishing much, because of very hot weather in Canada,
Twice you have picked up Outstanding Volunteer medals and in just over ten months you have taken over as Staff Officer. You also seem to "fill in" as the face of AO to the rest of TAW when TAW wide events come up. Of everything you accomplished with TAW, what has been the most rewarding?
Most rewarding for me is working together succesfully for a greater goal, like defeating the Age Of Conan's main villain Thoth Amon. We are standing at his door and will take him down togethe very soon! But of course becoming #1 guild on the Tyranny serever, even for a short time, was extremely exilerating, and so was succesfully defending our battlekeep.
What do you feel has been the biggest part of Age of Conan's success in TAW?
Biggest part of Age Of Conan's success in TAW is the team we've got, they are constantly pushing the guild forward and helping each other to get better at the game and also to have a great time playing it.
What brought you to join, and remain in, TAW over all the other guilds that are available on AO?
I was not looking for a guild initially, getting spammed by invites from other guilds since lvl 5 , I've decided that I'll wait for a guild that will really help me progress in game and will provide a friendly atmosphere.. When I was recruted to TAW by Booklet, I finally felt right at home!
What do you feel sets AO apart not only as one of the last remaining guilds in AO from launch but as an MMO that has survived destruction numerous times as a TAW division?
It's all in the people we've got. We are like one big family and everyone is always helpful and tries to do do their best to enhance the gaming experience for others, either by advice or by teamig up for challenges etc.etc.
What do you feel other TAW divisions, particularly other MMO divisions, could learn from AO?
Can't speak for other divisions, but we have great spirit of friendship and camaradery in our division, that I am very proud of.
Some people have said that Age of Conan is a game in decline yet AO continues to thrive with new content and solid membership. What makes AO able to succeed when their game is supposedly in decline?
As long as we still have our goals and a great team - this game will still be fun for us, even if all other guilds leave the servers! Age of Conan is a very immersive game with great combat system and beautiful graphics that has been suffering from lack of attention from the developers, who have all but abandoned it for their other game "The Secret World",
Do you have any parting words for the rest of TAW?
Never surrender! Always move forward, towards a common goal and work together to achieve it! Have fun!
