In the Scope: Blondie
Thinking back, what drew you to TAW?
I can't really specify all to well what drew me to TAW, I've overall never really been interested in being a part of a community outside of when i used to play MMO:s so the decision to apply for TAW for the LL Division is something i can't fully explain. It's something i definitely do not regret but it's shrouded in mystery for me as well.
Do you have any special hobbies or activities outside of online gaming/TAW?
I've recently tried to pick up some Tabletop RPGs with some friends and I'm thoroughly enjoying it although I'm still horrible at it/don't understand what I'm doing 90% of the time. I love the idea of really immersing yourself in an adventure that is dictated of how good your imagination is. Admittedly, the attempts towards creating a fantastic adventure more or less leads towards laughing sprees of how bad all of us are at acting. We're bad but we are having tons of fun while being bad.
What are some favorites? color, food, ice cream, book, movie, song, sport, etc
Overall a huge fan of the colors Red and black, a lingering remnant from my time in MMO.s were in my opinion everything that looked awesome were colored red or black(or even both!).
I've been an avid fan of the Alien Franchise since i were a small kid and the trilogy is a set of movies that i'll never grow tired of. Furthermore as so many people i'm a lover of Disney and can never get enough of seeing Simba going ham on Scar and ending up as the king of the Savannah!
What was your first impression of TAW?
My first impression of TAW was friendly and cozy. I was accepted into a battalion were the member base was split up between the 2 main servers of EU in LL were the one I resided on(EUNE) were only a small platoon with a few members, so it was more of a cozy hideout rather then the big battalion it is today. The EUNE group has evolved a lot since that part and i'm happy that we've managed to keep that feeling of a second home despite the difference in the size of the member base.
What do you find most challenging about TAW?
I would have to say handling the diversity of the members that are in it. It's a double-edged sword, I love that we have such a big diversity of members in TAW but it do force you to think in a lot of different ways and handle things in other ways then you'd normally approach them and at times it's something that is enough to tear your hair right off!
What's the best/worst thing to happen since you started working with TAW?
The changes in membership is both the best and the worst thing that has happened since i joined. I really miss the people that were a part of TAW when i joined and it was in some ways the best time i've had in TAW. It is something i do feel most people think when they join because your first time in any kind of community/guild is what you remember best. On the other hand all the new people that have come in are members i dearly appreciate and are the ones that will be around to shape the future of the battalion.
When you last volunteered, made a donation, etc., how did that make you feel?
I thoroughly enjoyed when I made my last donation. It was a donation I made firsthandedly for a friend.
Dajaroo were one of the people who went to Vanguard to spin up the Minecraft Division and I made a donation to help them pay for their servers. It always makes me happy to help friends out and I'd gladly do it again if the need arise(I also got nice chains on Daja for epic Mc stuff!).
Tell me about some of the people you've met while working on TAW?
I've had the pleasure of meeting many many people during my time in TAW. Stealthmist, Calidrin, Dajaroo, Eifer(Mr i love Blondie), Turtoisbee and FijaPowa just to name a few and they are all people that I feel are amazing and some of the most enjoyable human beings I've had the honor of meeting.
Tell me about someone who has influenced your decision to work with TAW?
I have 2 people that specifically comes to mind that has influenced me incredibly during my time in TAW.
My first mentor and my closest friend in TAW is Urkosh who I worked with ever since I joined until he transferred to LL 3 to help them out. He has taught me a lot and influenced my way of thinking and leading and are still providing me with insight and advice.
Secondly, I want to point out NupidStoob, my current DC. Although he first took up the DO role when I joined TAW, he decided to step down and pursue competitive play. He returned when I recently were made CO and I had the honor of having him as my XO for a while until he got promoted to DO and after that I've worked with him and had the benefit of using his knowledge and leadership and he will stand as one of the persons that have influenced me the most.
What might someone be surprised to know about you?
I'm a farmer! I've lived all my life out in the forest(literally in the forest) so I at least hope I have managed to acquire some knowledge of plant life and how to make things grow.
I also happens to be a lover of Béarnaise sauce and could have it as a side to almost anything(pancakes excluded)!
