New World - Interest Blog

 

 

New World, developed and published by Amazon Game Studios, is a massive multiplayer online RPG, set to release earlier this year, but was delayed in order to insure better launch and quality control.

 

 

Set on the fictional world of Aeternum, players are called to fight an ancient evil seeking to erase humanity of its shores. Players will be able to explore an open world map, and will be tasked to venture out alone, or with others, to explore the dangerous world and all the mysteries it holds. Using skills and abilities, from ranged attacks to magic, players will be able to choose their own play-style, and equip weapons and gear to fit that style.

 

 

Players will also be able to create and command their own-in-game companies, consisting of craftsmen, soldiers, traders and more importantly, leaders, who will guide it to success over others. Land can also be conquered and held, allowing companies to grow much faster, or until a rival company attacks! This will come in form of the game's PvP mode, War Mode,  where players will launch large scale battles for the control of territories, where 50 attack, and 50 shall defend, using an arsenal of weapons and defenses, all purchased via in game quests and tokens.

 

 

With the preview ending tonight, developers are looking for the next round of testing in November, and launch sometime next year.
