Elite Dangerous - Interest Blog

Elite Dangerous, developed and published by Frontier Developments, is a space flight sim game, where players can pilot various spaceships, and explore a realistic, 1 to 1 representation of the Milky Way galaxy.

The game, released in alpha back in 2013, features an expansive and persistent universe, where the actions of players affect the narrative of the game. Players are able to earn money via various activities, such as mining, bounty hunting, couriers missions, etc, and use said money to upgrade their ships, buy newer ones, and explore more of the galaxy, which is some 400 Billion star systems.

In addition to all that, players are also able to land on suitable planets, and explore using their land vehicles, and soon, they will be able to do that on foot as well. Frontier is hoping to release their newest expansion, Odyseey, in Janyarury 2021. This new expansion will allow players to explore these worlds on foot, and undertake missions, in order to earn currency and faction favor. This will all be playable in Multiplayer as well, with pilots finally being able to interact with one another, marking a big milestone in the timeline of the Space exploration game.

In addition, players are able to use their compatible VR headsets to explore space, with HOTAS support fully included, making for one amazing adventure! (Note: Odyssey will not feature VR support)
