For those that were not aware that World of Warships was more than just a one off random battles Naval Warfare game, there's a lot more to it than just slugging it out across the waves for dominance.  Where words meet the seas, there is Clan Battles, the right of a Clan to suffer their dominance over another clan in a battle type limited to just those who bring their clan fleets to bear on each other.  A clan lives and dies by its clan league.  Players are awarded with exclusive high tier resources and a larger amount of credits and experience for competing in clan battles and winning of course!

If clan battles interests you and you want to be part of our training schedules and clan season please reach out to the North American Battalion's Clan Roster Chief and Executive Officer sbels@taw.net or reach out to the EU staff for guidance on how to get involved across the pond.  As always if you are looking to be part of a dedicated social network of avid Warship players we are here, playing down in first Corps.  Join us as a guest sometime and start earning some serious steel to unlock for FREE some of the best ships in the game.

A small breakdown of how clan battles works from the Wargaming Website:

Rules

  • To participate, you need to join or create your own clan.
  • Clan Battles can be accessed once you reach Service Record level 15.
  • Clan Battles are only available at specific times.
  • Clan Battles are played in the 7v7 format with Tier X ships.  (The Current Clan Season is Tier VI Ships)

Leagues

In Clan Battles, you and your clan clash for points to climb to the top. The Clan Rating system comprises four Leagues:

  • Squall League (Start Here)
  • Gale League
  • Storm League
  • Typhoon League (Top Dogs!)

Progression

Every League has three Groups, each requiring 100 points to ascend to the next. All points beyond that 100 roll over into the next Group/League. All clans start in Group II of the Squall League. Your clan gains or loses points in each Clan Battle depending on the outcome:

  • Victory: Average of +25 points
  • Defeat: Average of -25 points
  • Draw: 0 to -3 points

Once they've climbed through every group in the League, your clan must fight through a series of five Progression Battles and win at least three of them. A victory sends your clan to the next League with a 35-point bonus, while a defeat keeps your clan in the same league with a 35-point loss. If your clan doesn't fight the Progression Battles, they don't advance!

Alternatively, if your clan loses enough points to fall to the bottom of their current League, they must win three out of five Relegation Battles to avoid getting kicked down to the League below with a 35-point penalty. However, they get a 35-point bonus if they succeed.  Once your clan hits zero points in Squall League, Group 3, they've hit rock bottom and won't lose any additional points.
