Q.) Can you please start by giving us your rank, name, and division/position?
My name is SoonerOKC, my rank is General and my two current positions are Commander of the TAW University and the Staff Officer of the new Red Orchestra team.

Q.) Thinking back, what drew you to TAW?

Complete accident. I was reading my "Military History" magazine and it had an article about a computer game called "Call of Duty". I had just gotten a PC and thought I'd try it. I had never played a game on line before...I didn't even know there was things called "Clans".
About my second week I saw a players with the tag "TAW_TheGhost" and I asked him "What does TAW mean and he told me "The Art of Warfare". He told me I should join and gave me the website. I applied and was shocked they approved me!

Q.)
What was your first impression of TAW?
"Wow"...I had no idea...this is great!

Q.) Tell us about the people you have met in TAW.
Well I don't have enough time or room to answer that but...I have met old farts, young teens, Lawyers, pilots, farmers, engineers, college students, police officers and I'm pretty sure a stalker or two. I've made some great friends and pretty sure an enemy or two when I was..."Just doing my job".

Q.)
What's the best/worst thing to happen since you started working with TAW?
The best thing is I've had the opportunity to influence young people and some old ones in a positive way that goes beyond gaming. I have had the opportunity to leave my mark on this community. I can look around and see little things here and there that I helped put in place. From Central Command members to policies...Even the number of your Battalion in your Team Speak name came from me.

The worst thing is not that I held the second highest position in TAW...but that meant I had to make some tough decisions that upset some people...okay I'll be honest "entire divisions".

Q.) If you could change one thing about TAW, what would it be?

I can't answer that question...I was told I have to much influence ;)

Q.) Who are you outside of TAW? What do you do in your life?
I'm a 50 year old gentleman, married for over 25 years to my lovely wife, father of a hot 21 year old daughter who you may NOT date! and a 18 year old son who is a beast and can break you in half...but only if needed. I have been in the Telecom/Data industry for over 30 years and love it.
I was born in England and have an English mom and an Okie dad who spent 20 years in the USAF...and I'm a proud Air Force brat.
I currently live in Oklahoma and love my Sooner football team..Hint that's why I go by SoonerOKC.

Q.) The interest in TAW seems to be growing Why do you think that is?
It's because of our core values and ethics. Along with everyone doing their job. We owe what is happening now to the members that worker their butts off years ago to set the ground work. If we did/do things wrong we wouldn't be here long.

Q.)
What would you say are some of your strongest beliefs about TAW?
Again..our core values are the key to our continued growth. That everyone has to up hold those values and enforce them...even when no one is looking. Also that everyone at every position has to do there job to keep this thing a float. If there are any weak links in the TAW chain it always shows up and has to be dealt with.

Q.) Where do you see yourself and TAW in 3 months? 6? 1 year? 5 years?

Three months...Maybe the RO2 team will give me a position and let me sweep the floors and clean up after the practices?
Six months...It will be tornado season here which is fun...Trying to game while the sirens are blowing!
One year...Heck I hope I'm alive.
fiver years... probably on this very computer playing "Red Orchestra 4"!
