Have you ever wondered what makes TAW so special? I mean TAW does a better job than any other group out there when it comes to providing structured and organized game play for its members. Without a doubt we have the best website and member management system in gaming. Our forums and TeamSpeak server stay busy due to an active member base. Yet I don’t think these are what make TAW so special.
I honestly believe what makes TAW so special is its members. Members that volunteer countless hours visiting with new members making them feel welcome to our community. Its members that share their talents developing our new TAW.net 2.0 website, members that work to keep it secure. Its members that never let a server go unpaid for ensuring 100% up time. Members that go above and beyond to plan coordinate and execute multiple events for their teams each week. It’s the members that contribute to their Divisions game server and the members that contribute to the Community Fund that provides us with our TS and website infrastructure.
Most members don’t realize it but it costs right at $300.00 per month or $3600.00 per year to fund the TAW infrastructure. There are other expenses that come out of the community fund as well including but not limited to software for website development, graphics and funding of other special projects and needs when they arise. The best part about all of this is the fact that TAW operates year after year with no membership fees. We intend to keep it that way!!
In
the month of September we are making a big push to raise our total
subscriptions coming into the Community Fund to $300.00 or more per
month. Leadership is working on a few projects this month
to help with this effort. We will be getting a goal tracker to put up
on the site for everyone to see that will monitor our progress. We are
also creating some special user bars that members contributing to the
Community Fund can use to
proudly display their support of the TAW Community. More info will be
released at the September 18th TFO meeting.
